Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you walk?
We provide walks around Winterslow, Old Sarum, Pitton, Dean and Middle Wallop. If you're close to these areas, we may still be able to help, just give us a call or text.
What are the walk durations?
Our walks are 60 minutes. Collection and drop-off are additional to this hour, so your dog gets the full hour of exercise so we may be out for slightly longer than 60 minutes.
How do I book a walk?
Start by booking your free meet-and-greet online. Paul will come to meet you and your dog and discuss their needs. You can either agree walking days and times then and there and we'll get you booked in, or, take some time to think about it and call/email us later. You can also just call or text as-and-when for adhoc walks. After a walk, we’ll send you a link to pay securely online.
What happens if it rains?
We still walk in the rain! If you’d prefer your dog to stay home, please let us know by 6pm the evening before to avoid a cancellation charge. In severe weather, we’ll adapt our route where it’s safe to do so. If conditions make walking unsafe, we’ll cancel with as much notice as possible, and you won’t be charged.
Full Booking & Cancellation Policy
This policy covers our Free Meet & Greet, Group Walks and Your Dog(s) Only walks.
Free Meet & Greet
Your meet-and-greet is free, with no cancellation charge. If you need to cancel or rearrange, please let us know as soon as possible.
We’ll use this visit to get to know you and your dog, discuss their needs and agree suitable walking arrangements. Booking a meet-and-greet does not reserve a regular walking slot. Walks are confirmed separately, subject to availability and suitability.
Cancelling or rearranging a walk
Applies to Group Walks and Your Dog(s) Only walks.
Please let us know by 6pm the evening before your scheduled walk if you need to cancel or rearrange. There is no charge for cancellations received by this deadline.
Cancellations or requests to move a walk received after this deadline incur a charge of 50% of the booked walk’s total price, including any additional dogs.
For regular bookings, this deadline applies to each scheduled walk. You can stop future walks without charge by letting us know before the cancellation deadline for your next walk.
If we can’t collect your dog
Applies to Group Walks and Your Dog(s) Only walks.
Please make sure your dog is available and we can access them using the agreed arrangements. If Paul arrives but cannot collect your dog—for example, nobody is home or the agreed key is unavailable—50% of the booked walk’s total price will apply.
If we need to cancel
Paul will aim to give at least two weeks’ notice for planned holidays or time off.
For illness or last-minute emergencies, we’ll contact you as soon as possible. For walks, we’ll try to arrange a suitable replacement walker, but only with your agreement. If no replacement is available, or you’d prefer not to use one, we’ll cancel at no charge.
If we need to cancel a meet-and-greet, we’ll offer to rearrange it.
Payment for walks
Completed walks and any applicable cancellation charges are payable after the scheduled walk. We’ll send you a payment link, or collect payment using your saved card where you have separately authorised us to do so. The meet-and-greet remains free.
